What's in a name...why "Earthwise"?
"Earthwise" because my dream is for people to become more Earth Wise...wise about the Earth, to live consciously and in partnership with nature, and to learn the old ways, the ways of self-sufficiency, to re-member that we are all connected, to deepen our connection to the Earth and All Our Relations.
Earthwise Learning Center is a sacred space where we gather to learn, grow, and re-member, and celebrate the Plants, the Trees, the Animals, the Earth, so that we can pass along the Earth Wisdom to our children and grandchildren in hope that one day all people will be and live Earthwise. ~ Robin McGee

Founder and main instructor of Earthwise Learning Center, Robin McGee is a community herbalist, organic gardener, herbal medicine-maker, writer and herbal educator in Anderson, SC. She has been studying, using and creating herbal medicines and products for more than a decade. Along with producing her line of herbal products, Wild Earth Botanicals, Robin teaches herbal medicine classes and workshops, does private consultations, leads plant identification walks, and is a popular speaker, teacher, and storyteller throughout the eastern United States. She has studied with internationally renowned herbalists, traditional healers and shamans including Matthew Wood, Rosemary Gladstar, Phyllis Light, Darryl Patton, Kate Gilday, David Dalton, the late Michael Moore, Stephen Buhner, Rocio Alarcon, and Dona Enriquetta Contreras. Her early childhood days were spent playing in creeks and trees and watching her Granny talk to the flowers and plants as she tended to their needs. It is the plants and trees who have been her greatest teachers.
Robin’s mission is to empower people to care for themselves, their family, friends, and animals using the plants and trees that grow around them for food and medicine, and to foster a deep relationship between plants and people.
Robin lives with her husband, Mac, on his family's 500-acre farm that is home to their business, Carolina Grassfed Beef & Free-Range Eggs and to Earthwise Learning Center. Her commitment to the Earth and All Our Relations, conservation, sustainability, and self-sufficiency is inspiring, her teachings empowering, enlightening, humorous, and lively.
